Summer Reading 2021
The theme for this year's program is Tails & Tales.
Do you know about the "Summer Slide"? It's when kids lose profiency in reading over the summer break, which tends to have a snowball effect when the school year begins in the Fall. A recent study shows that students in 3rd-5th grade lose an average of 20% of their school-year gains in reading IF they don't keep engaged during the summer months. Here at CRPL, we've found a way to make reading fun and rewarding and this year our Friends of the Library is sponsoring our program!
